Hello! I’m glad you’re here.
I specialize in working with people with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, parent-child relationships, and those seeking support navigating the perinatal period.
I work best with folks who are committed to a process of turning inward - those who want to interrogate their familial systems and dynamics, unlearn harmful patterns of relating, and work with trans-generational patterns of trauma and healing.
Most importantly, I am invested in centering your lived experience and how it impacts the way you move through the world. In doing so, I will provide a relational and non-judgmental therapeutic space for your growth and healing.
I am passionate about working with people and communities of color, multicultural families, and immigrants and children of immigrants. I am aware and affirming of poly, kink, and LBTQIA+ communities, and have experience working with queer, trans, and neurodivergent folks, as well as those who have been impacted by the (in)justice system.
My approach
I approach therapy using a wide variety of gentle and effective healing-oriented approaches, including relational, depth-oriented psychotherapy, various somatic therapies, parts work, as well as trauma interventions that involve strengthening your internal resources and allowing the wisdom of your body to guide our work together. My goal is to hold space for your uniqueness in a way that enables you to dive deep into self-exploration and understanding, ultimately building a stronger relationship between your mind and body. Through our work together, we will build a bigger repertoire for you to deal with distress and find peace within your body.
My experience
I am trained in EMDR, a well-established trauma therapy modality. I have also received specialized training in reproductive mental health, TIST (trauma informed stabilization treatment), AEDP (accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy), and somatic attachment therapy.
I have a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to my social work training, I obtained a degree in special education (EdM) and neuroscience (MS) from Boston University.
Aside from my work as a therapist, I am trained as a full-spectrum doula and childbirth educator, and as such, I aim to provide accessible, holistic, community-based care for all birthing people and their families, including trans/non-binary people.
